December Photo A Day, Day 10 - `R` is for...

Photo, Day 10, `R` is for ray of sunshine after a snowy morning

As usual, I had nothing to do with the idea behind or the taking of this picture. This time Dwayne was my go-to person...

Me: I need something that starts with `R` that I can take a picture of.
Dwayne: How about `R` is for this ray of sunshine that I'm staring at right now?

See? That seems so easy, right? But my mind does not work that way. Creativity just isn't my thing.

Dwayne took the picture, too. He's so awesome...

The picture was taken after my appointment at the doctor's office this afternoon. School was cancelled this morning because it was snowing snowing snowing and then by 3:30 the sky was completely clear and migraine sunny.

When I walked out of the apartment this morning, my world looked like this:

You know, snowing

I was late to work today. I live on top of a very steep hill. Mom came the back way to pick me up, and the car slid in the snow right past my entrance.

She had to turn around and come back up the hill, and nearly got stuck.

But she didn't. Unlike my sister-in-law, who DID get stuck on Friday, and had to leave her car at my mom's...and Dwayne, who also got stuck on Friday, but managed to back out of it.

Living on a hill is hilariously funny at times.

    1. I don't knowwwww! I couldn't figure it out either, it's so random. Maybe that was the point? Who makes these things up? LOL

  2. Oh Michelle (forgive me, I think I called you Melissa once! or twice!) that sounds sorta funny with mum slippin and slidin up and down your hill. I love your description - it was snowing snowing snowing and then by 3:30 the sky was completely clear and migraine sunny...As you know I'm experiencing a northern winter this year. The pond where I'm staying was frozen yesterday. Saw snow in Amsterdam. Have 4 weeks to go. May well see snow in Paris, but then thankfully we head for Spain and winter warmth! (Sorry...didn't I blah on....must still be jet lagged - why else would I be up at 5.30am?)

    1. That's okay! I actually get called Melissa quite a lot, it's a thing!

Snow in Paris sounds kind of wonderful!

I've never been to Spain...when we lived in Germany, my brother did get to go to Spain for his senior high school vacation. I was so jealous!

Keep having a wonderful time and stay warm!

  3. Hi stranger! I'm back at it...kind of. I'm at least able to get up and sit for awhile before feeling worn out. I'm so glad to see you've kept up with posting pictures each day. Maybe I'll try to catch up in another day or two. I don't want to push myself and get sicker than I have been.

    1. I've missed you! I sat out a few days, too, and I still feel like death. I went to the doctor today and she said I'd had the flu (like tell me something I hadn't already figured out), and she gave me an antibiotic because now I have blisters on my throat and tongue. I'm like the walking plague or something. :(

  4. I really like the way you caught the sunlight through the trees. Very nice.

    1. Thank you! But it was actually Dwayne that took the picture, so I'll tell him you said so! :)

    1. It really is funny watching, but I love the snow! It's fine since I'm not driving!

    1. I agree! A whole new look. I especially love it when snow is falling, and everything goes quiet.

  7. Can you send me an Ambien? Can't sleep. I like Dwayne's Ray. I'm naming it after him like a comet. I have a friend who has a comet named after him. We had snow yesterday also. My car drives well in it, thankfully.

    1. Ambien is the best thing ever. You should seriously ask your daughter about it. Having a comet named after you would be cool! Yay snow!

  8. Hooray! I get to be a winter snob. Your schools closed for an amount of snow I brush off my car pretty much daily. (I've gotta enjoy these moments now. I won't be laughing come January/February...)

    1. Thank you! I'm lucky that my mom, Chelsea and Dwayne are so good at taking pictures because I am NOT. :)
