30 Songs in 30 Days, Day 2 - Your least favorite song

Day 2 of the 30 Day Song Challenge, and wow, talk about going from a high to a low! From my favorite to my least favorite song, hmmm...

I try not to dwell on bad things. When there's a song I don't like, I change the station. And really, there's not much I don't like.

But there's one song I hate hate hate hate hate, and I tried my hardest to come up with something else so as not to seem like a Grinch - but I couldn't, so here it is:

My least favorite song: FELIZ NAVIDAD.

Can't stand it. I don't know why. I don't understand why people like it, or why it gets so much airplay, or why it gets remade over and over. Why why why?

Every time Christmas season is upon us, I brace myself for the inevitability of this awful, terrible song.

(big sigh)

For some reason, Chelsea actually likes this song, especially the Glee version. I will admit the Glee version might be the least annoying of the five thousand versions of the song out there today.

So enjoy...if you can:

    1. LOL, that song doesn't bother me! Even if it is about a spider! :)

    2. The National Anthem makes me nervous. When someone sings it, I worry that they will mess it up, and they often do.

    3. Oh, I agree! I much prefer going back and watching classic performances, like Whitney at the Super Bowl or Marvin Gaye at the All Star Game. THAT'S how you do the Anthem!

    1. Really? You don't cringe and turn it off immediately? LOL funny how people are different like that... :)

  3. Good choice, but I take it you've never heard Nancy Sinatra's "These Boots Are Made for Walkin".

    1. Absolutely! Because you want to forget about your least favorite song as quickly as possible, LOL!

    2. Ha! I remember, Mock! It was "Love in an Elevator." Now, thanks to the challenge, I will never listen to either that song or "Feliz Navidad" in quite the same way.

    3. So true! As soon as someone expresses their dislike of a song or band, I immediately start feeling it too. Unless I'm a fan, then I go on the defensive. :)

  5. It's not a particular song but a genre...the bubblegum crap of my youth makes me absolutely nuts. I was more of a Pink Floyd and Led Zeppelin kind of gal.

    1. Oh, well, I totally agree with you there, LOL! My cousin in particular was fond of the Top 40 station and all I wanted to listen to was Led Zeppelin, and was like, Who? :)

  6. Oh my gosh we must be kindred blogger spirits!! It's by FAR my least favorite Christmas song lol.

  7. I don't mind Feliz Navidad, but I agree. That is a better version.

Like you, there aren't too many songs I dislike and I usually just turn the dial. Come December, though, I stay away from the soft-rock-turned-holiday-music-only channel. Not only have they started playing Christmas music before the day after TG (gah!), they play the same songs on the hour, every hour, every year.

Get some new stuff, people! I can't take it anymore. :(

    1. Interesting...I have the same kind of personal feeling about Wonderful World by Sam Cooke...love him, but for a personal reason that song makes me change the channel.
