Don't get too close, it's dark inside...

This is how I feel right now.

My migraine has taken on a level of Spock/Horta-wailing "Paaaaaaaaaaaaaaain". I'm thinking emergency room at this point.

So. Um. How's things?

Earlier this weekend my mind was full of possible journal entries...but now it's a blank slate.

That's the power of mind-numbing pain PLUS mind-numbing drugs for you.

It empties your brain. In other words, it makes you dumb.

Good night, smart people. I used to be one of you.

Maybe one day, I will be again...

  1. Hello Michelle. Oh, those migranes. Take to a darkened room quickly then you'll belong to the smart set again, lol!

    1. Yes, I'm getting ready to do that now; hoping it'll all be over tomorrow. :)

  2. Ah, the devil in the dark. I know him. I'm neither doctor nor bricklayer but can suggest a compress --and the equal possibility of an angel in the same darkness. Feel better soon, Michelle. Please.

    1. Hah! You were just dying to use that line, admit it! LOL
I've been using a compress off and on all day, I think it did help me sleep a little while earlier, so I may use it again now to go to bed.. Thank you Geo.!

  3. I now instantly Google your post titles if I don't recognize them right away. Imagine Dragons is very big with my middle schoolers. I'm not so keen on them but, great band name!

    Feel better soon.

    1. Thank you so much. I made it in to work today and I really don't know how...the power of drugs I guess. I have a plan. Sort of.

    1. Oh I hope so! I don't want drooling dumbness as a permanent condition! :)

  6. =( Seasons. There are seasons of adjustment as our body changes. I hear things that produce allergies contribute, and you're doing everything you can via diet... Here's hoping this dies down.

    1. Me tooo. I was thinking maybe it was this cold front that came in? My mom helpfully says I only have 10 or 15 more years of this and then I'll go through menopause and be fine.
Really, Mom? 10 or 15 YEARS? You think that's helpful? LOL

  7. Bring on the Reese's PB Cups. Obviously that's not the issue.

    1. We are on the same wavelength, because I went in the breakroom a couple hours ago and just stared at the Reese's in the vending machine. Internal debate: I already have the worst headache known to man, what more can a little Reese's cup do?
But I didn't do it. I'm a scared wimp. A scared HURTING wimp, LOL.

  8. I always take a long hot shower when I have a bad headache or hangover... They always make the pain go away for a little bit. Hope you feel better!

    1. That is a good idea and something I don't really think about doing, because the pain immobilizes me...the hot shower probably would ease the pain for a while. I'll remember that, thank you so much!
