Back, again...

The ads up there are a little disconcerting...I see them move out of the corner of my eye and it makes me jump.
But I just can't work up the kind of outrage about the ads that would compel me to leave AOL and go somewhere else...
Because I am LAZY.  Or, SELF-CENTERED.  Or, I just DON'T CARE about some things, like stupid ads on my journal on a service that I PAY FOR (okay, maybe I care a little bit).
I care about my daughter.  I care about getting my daughter through eighth grade in one piece, mentally and physically.  I care about seeing her grow up into a beautiful, strong woman, and I care about making sure she doesn't lose her way.
I care about our environment and our earth.  I care about animals...since I now have a pet it's scary, how much I care about animals.  Or maybe the scary thing is that I never thought much about them before.
I care about space exploration.  I care about books.
I care about all of our soldiers in the military.
I care about my life...or, I'm trying to.
So, I guess my point is that I'm staying put.  The stupid ads are just not high on my list of things to care about right now.
Though I will throw in a couple more STUPID ADS, STUPID ADS, for good measure...

  1. You know, I actually have to thank AOL for those ads! If it hadn't been for those ads I wouldn't have found out how much I like Blogger and Bloglines <ROFL> Seriously though, I think I am going to keep both. Since I need to keep this AOL account for the time being, I think I'm going to Mirror the stuff over there over here for those people who don't feel comfortable leaving AOL Journals. That way I get to have fun over at blogger (advertising it in my AOL Journal to thumb my nose at them <g>), AND keep my friends over here!

  2. I am so glad that you 'don't' care enough so much that you are staying here among those of us that are staying here.  I'd really miss you if I had to stay here without you as a neighbor.  Pennie

  3. I am with you...there are more important things going on in our lives and the world then ads on top of the journals.  I don't like them either, but they aren't coming down...and I choose to live with it...

    *hugs*

  7. You are right about the stupid ads. I started another journal and now I am about sorry, only becasue I feel horrible about abandoning my journals, like I abandoned my kids out here in cyber space after I put them there! lol goofy I know. But your right, that is about as low on my list of cares  right now, got alot more stufff on my mind.
