Tonight's the night the world begins again...

There's so many scary things happening right now, and all I want to do is hide.

If I could just stay in bed and cuddle my kitty forever, I'd be content.

I guess I can't do that.

Treasure your family and make time to be with them. Appreciate your good health. If you can walk and run, do it! Drink in the beauty around you and listen to music...and if you are artistically talented, use your talents! Paint, draw, dance, sing and play the piano...the world needs it.

And I meant what I said about family! You blink and they're gone, or different, and all you have left is your memories. Cherish what you have, and make the most of it.

Family = everything.

  1. Cherish what you have - it really is the best way to make it through the endless stream of crap.

    Take care.

  2. Amen. This is hitting home now for me in a big way. I also like how, in your list of labels, "Falling down" is followed soon after by "Getting up." Did I say amen?

    Apologies for not commenting on the last post. My thoughts and prayers are with you guys.

    1. Nothing to do when you fall down but get back up...it may be a bit of a struggle, but it's just what you have to do!
      Thank you so much!

  5. Are you sure you're not just down because of our sucky basketball team this year? :)

    1. Well, yes, that too...I didn't even enjoy them winning last night, as much as I was just relieved that they won. I just wish THEY could find joy in playing again...when they're having fun, I have fun watching. When they play and look so defeated like they have been, it really does get me down, too!

  7. As bittersweet as it can sometimes seem, though, the memory of the thing you love is just as important as the thing itself. It means you've cared enough to preserve that thing, or that person. It's remembering the good as well as experiencing the pain of missing that thing or person, that proves to be the true reward of memory. Because good doesn't always happen. But a good memory is always with you.

  8. Such awesome advice. You make me want to go run around the lake in my back yard and sing at the top of the lungs while doing it--and laugh with my kidlets as they try to keep up and sing along with me. I should totally do it. =)

    1. OMG you should do it! I would love for you to do that, it would be awesome, and have the kids do it, too! If you CAN, you SHOULD. :)

    2. Yeah, we did, but we ended up screaming and squealing instead--too winded to sing. =) Here's to living it up, eh?

  9. Albert Camus once wrote, "In the depth of winter, I finally learned that within me there lay an invincible summer." I hope that your invincible summer is just beginning.
