I haven't played since 2009.
Anyway.
There is this one song that I love. The lyrics are beautiful, but that's not what I listen to. It's the MUSIC. It's the deceptively simple guitar melodies in the background...as the song goes on, the other instruments come in. While this is happening, the song is coming to a crescendo, and then being brought back down, over and over again, while still staying beautifully simple.
First time I heard that one, hmmm okay to me. Play away at your sea
ReplyDeleteYou gotta shut your eyes and listen...
Deletemaybe it's just me.
:)
This is beautiful and I didn't even have to shut my eyes to appreciate it. I bet it sounds greats with headphones.
ReplyDeleteIt really does, it's a song that never gets old to me.
DeleteThere's other music on right now, but I'll try to come back and listen later.
ReplyDeleteOoh, other music! What other music? I always love to hear about other music...
DeleteForence + the Machine. If you haven't heard of them before, listen to Ceremonials.
ReplyDeleteHa! Read down a few entries!, I already used Florence on one of my days...I think for Songs I Listen To When I'm Happy/Sad...
DeleteI looove Florence! :)
I'll go through all the songs at some point when I have a chance. I've checked a few so far.
ReplyDeleteI always say I'll get caught up on things on the weekend, but I'm so tired by Friday night, I sleep all day Saturday. Never enough time...
DeleteI wish I could play music as well. I always wanted to play the piano!
ReplyDeleteI can play, I just CAN'T play.
Delete:(
I never catch up on the weekends. The weekends are a time to fall further behind.
ReplyDeleteI guess. I have nothing to catch up on except sleep. I've let everything else go. I have no illusions about ever catching up on the rest of my life.
DeleteI've always been able to play almost anything but sometimes I have trouble hearing the real music which exists just under the surface.
ReplyDeleteIt's funny that I know EXACTLY what you mean. Dwayne will catch me sometimes in the car when we have the radio on and ask me what I'm doing because I have a certain look on my face...the answer is almost always, 'Shhh, I'm trying to hear...'. :)
